C-125 is a jazz combo that was born out of a readings in music theory course held in classroom C-125 at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Through the the camaraderie formed through the shared struggles of the course, several of the members of the class thought to create a group that played jazz-type music.

Micheal Sebulsky


Micheal has spent many years performing in many different musical environments. His experience has seen him perform in front of crowds as intimate as a dinner club and as large as the main stage of many summer music festivals, to crowds of thousands. He has performed in many musical genres and is experienced in classical, jazz, rock/country and “reading” work in pit orchestras, having multiple musical performance credits to his name.

During his performing career, Micheal has been fortunate to share the stage with many professional musicians. He has performed live with Nashville recording artist Anthony Rankin, acclaimed guitarist Roger Hoard, Yamaha jazz endorsee Jay Ware, and many others. Paul Zaborac

Paul Zaborac is a versatile saxophonist, composer, and educator. Originally from the Des Moines, Iowa area, he earned a bachelor of music degree in music education from Simpson College in 2010 and a masters in saxophone performance from The Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2012 where he was the recipient of the Albert Scholarship for Postgraduates and served as a research assistant. Paul is now pursuing his doctorate at The University of Colorado-Boulder where he works as a teaching assistant and the saxophone instructor for the continuing education department. Paul is also active as a performer and educator and has performed in Australia, Hong Kong, China, and throughout the United States. He has also had the opportunity to share the stage with notable jazz musicians such as Rufus Reid, John Von Ohlen, Greg Gisbert, Stan Sulzmann, Chad Eby, Stockton Helbing, Paul McKee, and Michael Dease.

Stephen Bott

Stephen Bott is a versatile percussionist and teacher. He began his master’s degree in percussion performance in 2014, studying at the University of Colorado. He comes to Boulder from Central Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree, with honors, and won the Grant G. Skomski Percussion Scholarship.

He was featured with a quartet at the 2013 Percussive Arts Society International Conference, and performs regularly with orchestras, wind bands, and jazz groups throughout Michigan and Colorado. As the drummer for the alt-rock group Aurorealis, he recorded A Way to Say This Now and played shows around Michigan, and spent another summer drumming for North Sky Cinema.

Stephen works in the Boulder area as a freelance performer and percussion clinician with K-12 schools. He teaches classical percussion, drumset (all styles), keyboard mallet instruments, marching drumline, and hand drumming. Stephen is happy to teach all ages and abilities.

Egemen Kesikli

Egemen Kesikli is a young Turkish composer honored with numerous performances across the United States, as well as in Canada, Austria, Greece, and his home-country Turkey, by ensembles including the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, the DissonArt Ensemble, the St. Olaf Band, as well as by members of the Alabama Symphony, Memphis Symphony, Istanbul State Symphony, and Istanbul State Opera orchestras.

Along with composing, Egemen performs actively as a choral and instrumental conductor, as well as a pianist. He studied conducting with Steven Amundson, Christopher Aspaas, Timothy Mahr, Wolfgang Harrer, and Robert Carnochan; and piano with Ahmet Kivan, Birsen Ulucan, and Kent McWilliams. As the former assistant-conductor of the Viking Chorus of St. Olaf College, he has performed in many venues including the 2011 ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) of Minnesota State Conference, and the 8th Annual Collegiate Men’s Chorus Festival. In March 2012, Egemen conducted the St. Olaf Band, dubbed “one of America’s preeminent bands” by the New Yorker, featuring his own composition, the Emperor. A versatile pianist performing both concert and improvisatory music, Egemen has performed with numerous artists including the award-winning Cherokee folk-rock musician Michael Bucher, and the illustrious world-percussionist Burhan Ocal.

Egemen Kesikli has received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Theory & Composition from St. Olaf College with Departmental Distinction after two years of tutelage under the world-renowned pianists Guher & Suher Pekinel. He has received his Master’s in Composition at The University of Texas at Austin – Butler School of Music, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the University of Colorado Boulder. Egemen has studied composition with Ozkan Manav, Justin Merritt, Timothy Mahr, Yevgeniy Sharlat, Dan Welcher, Donald Grantham, and film music with Bruce Pennycook.

Egemen is currently studying with Carter Pann and Daniel Kellogg.
